September 6, 2011
Talking to this newspaper in the premises of Parliament, the Kadapa MP said: “I am thankful to the BJP and Ms Sushma Swaraj that despite all the differences that my father and my party have towards the BJP, still it has come forward. I am thankful to her for having raised the matter of injustice. I will meet her to thank her for supporting me, in spite of having ideological differences.”
Accusing the CBI of resorting to “witch-hunt”, he said he would meet the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, and all Opposition leaders and circulate a detailed report on what the CBI is doing in AP. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy said he would meet Mr Mulayam Singh, Mr Sharad Pawar, Mr A.B. Bardhan, Mr Prakash Karat and others and apprise them of the injustice that is being meted out to him and the role the CBI is playing.
When asked about the case against him, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy said: “I am the 52nd respondent, but where have the state government agencies gone? Who are respondents 1 to 10? In fact, the state did not even file the counter. For nine years Chandrababu Naidu (TD chief) ruled and gave land for many like Emaar, IMG, but nothing was initiated.”
