No special treatment for Reddys in jail, says official

Mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy and his company’s managing director, Srinivas Reddy, are being provided normal facilities behind the bars.

They were put in the barracks of the reception block in the Chanchalguda Central prison. According to the jail superintendent, Mr Keshav Naidu, Gali Janardhan Reddy and Srinivas Reddy were admitted at around 6 30 in the evening. He said,“There were no orders from the government to give them special treatment.
We kept them under the reception block of the jail. They were provided with only the normal facilities which we give to the casual prisoners.” For the dinner, both of them got daal, veg curry and rice.
“If government gives any order about giving them some special treatment, we will shift them to a different barrack and provide the facilities as instructed by the government,” Mr Keshav Naidu added.
